Carschall Tip is the northern point of Sybit Island. It was once a medium density commercial area until it was destroyed by the Pelma Asteroid Collision in 2002.
Pelma Asteroid Collision
On the morning of August 18, 2002, a massive asteroid entered airspace above Sybit Island and touched down on the tip of the island, completely destroying the small commercial area known as Carschall. The residents of Castle Pines, just to the east of the impact, all suffered broken windows in their houses and cars, along with some minor foundation damage to the homes closest to the impact.
The impact decimated a large chunk of island land-space which was immediately filled by water from the Irenic Ocean. The Swarmy immediately moved in, evacuated and relocated the residents of Carschall to SW Island, and set up an asteroid study base of operations in the area.
Carschall is still largely inaccessible due to the large amounts of cosmic radiation that are still present from the asteroid which still sits in it's original impact location, as well as the fatal toxicity of Pelma that now grows in the area.
